Probably this is the most common usage for the air driven liquid pump. This heading covers both ,burst’ and ,proof’ testing of components. Normally any component that is to be exposed to or hold a liquid or qas under pressure has to be pressure tested. This is normally done by ,proof’ testing whereby the component is tested to 1 to 2 times its normal working pressure. Burst testing is where the component is subjected to pressure to determine its failure pressure.
